Hi are you looking for another swap. Well I said no more swaps I so busy now and can not think about having another one. Well if you saw the Halloween swap that was around that Jane put together it was the best swap that I have been in. I'm new with swapping and I have not always had the best experience with it. I have to say that I wanted to be in Halloween swap and wanted to make sure I had enough for 2 quilts well I join 3 times and when I got my blocks I have to say I'm having a hard time deciding what ones to use they were that good.

You can do what ever you want to do very few rules but you will not have to have it done till I think it was Jan 15. So it will not be done for this year but next year we can have the quilts done ahead of time.
I have to say I'm so excited about this swap that I have joined 5 times so if there enough of us I will be able to have 5 quilts. I'm planing one for me my sister another gift to be decided who and possible 2 for church raffles.This is how excited I am with this kind od swap. You can see the block that I did in my past blog. I'm not a great blogger because I hate the compurter.

Halloween Swap

Well I just finished my Halloween swap and I took the photos from Jane's Fabrics and Quilts. Jane put together a wonderful swap. I have to say it was absolutely the best swap I have been in and if you ever get to be in a swap that she has put together you will love it.

So if I do it correct you are going to see the blocks I have have done.

Yes I got in 2 times in 1 group and decided this was not enough so I joined another group so I had 3 theme blocks of 12 to do and 3 different 9 square blocks of 12 each. I was busy but I also ran into a few problems. So I had to keep emailing Jane for help but I have to say she would always help me out.

Hi I have been crazy but I will have to say the next week I will probelly not be checking in to anything. I'm helping a freind with there very sick mother and I'm working at my job and I'm taking the night shift at the hospital so I will not be able to even check in let along do a blog. I'm missing a few great blogs that I keep saying I have to do seeing I received a few swaps so i have to post them when I get back But when things in our life we must do them. I'm a winner

Well on Tues I found out that I'm a winner for the first time. I put my name in Geta give away and never thought i would win. So on Tues I get an email to say I was a winner. If I ever wanted to win something this is want I really wanted to win. Have you ever seen her work. Well she does Shadow Trapunto patterns. I have been following her blog because she has the most beautiful quilts and I have been wondering how did she do them. Well she now has a ebook out that you can buy a pattern that she has made. I have been thinking I will buy one but I had to finish some products before I can ever think of looking at something else to start. But now I have the pattern but I still have to wait to finish what in my bucket list. Cancer quilts

Hi I need some help my dear friend has just found out she has breast cancer. She has always been able to brighten my life up so I am going to do a quilt with bright colours so I can now brighten her up threw this time of her life. The problem is I don't know what size to do. If you can let know what you would do would be great. I was planning to do a cotton quilt should I think of using something else.Thanks for your help

First quilt

I was asked to post some photos of my quilts. So now I can download photos so I going to start. Oct. 2008 I took my first quilting class and this is my first quilt that I made. I think it took 2 classes to finish it. She called it the 9 square block but now from the blog I hear its called the disappearing 9 block. Its small the size is 28 by 34. The quilting was stitching in the ditch. Also for my first one my back fabric is plain black I was afraid to do anything but plain. That has now change. Seeing its my first one I was so pleased. I don't have that many so I will do one at the time

Another swap

OK I have said no more swaps and here is a new siggy swap so I was lucky to join. Then this will be the last one for awhile. Sure Sherry I said that maybe 2 weeks ago and look at me. But its so much fun I love doing them. Would you like to loin.

Yea I think I can do this now. This is what Danielle made for me I now think I can start putting on the photos of my quilts. I wish I had a kid so they can help me with how to use a computer. Well I would like to say thanks again to Danielle for the lovely job she did.

Photos

Well this weekend I finally found out how to down load photos. So I will start putting photos of my quilts that I have done. I'm so excited. So this week I will work on that and start with my first quilt. I'm going to a class now on how to quilt using your serger only. Interesting to see how it works. Well to a better day tomorrow.

Looking for a quilt pattern

Hello Everyone I have been trying to find a quilt pattern with swans on it is there such a quilt. So if you can help me please I would like to help someone make one for her sister that loves swans. I said I would look and not having luck.

Picked my quilt for my swap

Well its been a very busy week with no quilting. This I do not like. I was able to pick what I'm doing for my quilt swap but the problem is I what to keep it for myself. Well what can I say. I found a new quilt shop for me in my city and I think I found what I'm going to do for my Pay It Foward person.
I'm still waiting for 2 more people to pay it forwad so if you want more info about this please leave a message and I will let you know more about it. So if you would like me to make you a gift leave a message.
The weather her was very nice Spring time but now we might be getting 2 inches of that white stuff called snow. We had none for the month of March and the flowers are starting to come up and now there telling we will have snow. Well at least it won't last long.

My First????

Well I finally did my first quilt all by myself. I have taken 1 class and don’t have the time to take another so I decided to try on my own and I did a pretty good job. It more a throw but I was excited that I did all on my own. Now if I know how to get a photo on this blog I would put one up. I will have to ask one of my old foster kids to come over and teach me how to do it. This is when I wish I had children to help me with this computer. Well have a great day all. Talk soon.

Wonderful weather

Well we are really getting ready for Spring. I had my windows open to air out the house. Chiclet loved it.Well to a great Spring.

Happy Birthday Dad

My father past away this past June and it is his first Bday with out him. I will be lucky I will be spending the day with my sis and step mom. How lucky am I. I miss him so much but he always told us that we never forget the ones that have past on but with time and years its just a little easier on us.

Hello all

I'm a manicurist by day and a quilter and crafter by night. I have a wonderful cat named Chiclet. She was a stay cat that was dropped off where I worked at. A coworker talked me into taking her home ever tho I did not care for cats. This little girl came into my life and it has not been the same. As someone that always wanted children and this never did happen the Chiclet was the next best thing. To have someone love you unconditional.
